Editorial policy
Coastal Home Journal aims to be clear about what a story says, what supports it and where its limits lie. Our editorial choices are made for readers, not quietly reshaped to suit a commercial partner.
Accuracy and context
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against appropriate material before publication, and distinguish general explanation from advice that depends on a particular building, location or set of circumstances. We avoid presenting an attractive design idea as a universal solution. Where a subject calls for specialist assessment or local requirements, we say so rather than guessing.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or a relevant omission, use the Contact page to tell us what the issue is and where it appears. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, amend the story and explain the correction in context. We do not silently leave a known material error unaddressed.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly identified as such; payment does not purchase an editorial endorsement or control over independent coverage. We describe products and services fairly and do not imply testing or firsthand experience that did not take place.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence of a particular house, product, renovation or documented event, and we take care not to let an illustrative image stand in for a factual record.
